- Critical Analysis of Evolution (pdf) This lesson plan was approved by the Ohio Board of Education in March 2004 and was deleted in February 2006. It is no longer available at the Ohio Department of Education website.
- An earlier pdf version of Critical Analysis of Evolution includes the creationist references that were removed from the final version.
- An OCS Lesson Plan was prepared, at the request of the Ohio Board of Education, as an alternative to the Critical Analysis of Evolution lesson plan. It was not adopted.
- At the February 2006 meeting of the Ohio Board of Education, the Achievement Committee was charged with considering whether the deleted lesson plan Critical Analysis of Evolution should be replaced by a different lesson, and if so to present any recommendation to the entire State Board for adoption. Here's an update of the OCS lesson plan, prepared as an example of such a replacement lesson.
